Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Just had my wisdom teeth extraction this week. Ain't that much of a Saw movie that I'd thought it was. Mainly because I was given general anaesthetic, due to fact that I opted to remove all 4 at once. It's one hell of a drug. I even woke up feeling happy and relax, like the whole world's just hugs and kisses.

But then, the effect wore off.

Oh well, painkillers will do just fine.

"Eh, Egoman, you pilot ah?"

Not the first time I'd been hit with it.

I was holding my helmet by its kevlar shell,

positioned it next to my hips as I walk.

Like a pilot.

Well, some sergeants are particular with this habit.

Army men aren't suppose to hold their helmet as such.

Don't ask me why.

Neither do I find any serious issues with doing so.

Then one day, came The Reason.
Everyone'd just been done with the standard obstacle course.

Panting, perspiration blurring my vision, I gulped down

what seemed like gallons of water to drown my thirst.

As the sergeants were yelling at us to submit our number tags,

came a tiny, distant noise.

Steadily it crescendo'd into a thunderous roar.

In that five seconds of eternity,

time stopped so that even the sergeants could

look upon what is to come

in envy and awe.

Ripping across the cloudless Great Blue were three fighter jets,

as if looking down upon us with air of mockery.

An awkward silence set in and things resumed shortly.

Now I know why I can't hold my helmet the way I do.

You. Are. Jealous.

It can only be your dream.

Never a reality.

"Sergeant, you wanna be pilot ah?"

Mothers' Day celebration? Haha, nope; not this year too. Dad's taken her out on a date, disguised as a trip out to buy some home appliances.
Once in a while on a lazy afternoon, from the obscure corner of my mind, memories of my mother singing to the tune of "Please Mister Postman" by The Beatles as she went around doing the house chores would flash pass. That was a long long time ago, of sweets and toys which did not involve screen of any sort.

This is a piece about people, that in our endless search for contentment, have overstretched ourselves. We become thin and dry on the inside as we desperately try to reach higher places, towering over each other, outdoing each other.

Well, I'm not saying such a thing is wrong. It is only human nature to do so. It used to be fun in the past. Unfortunately, it is now but a tedious daily ritual, at least for me. Once in a while, if only you'd take a step back and look around, thats the feeling you'd probably get from people going by. Some, already broken by it.

It drives people insane, don't you think so?

Here's a place for my photographs.
A while ago, I was thinking about my huge stash of photographs saved up in my computer, and wondering if it would be a good idea to find a decent place to display some of them. Partly because it's getting kinda tedious storing some of them, which received no criticisms, no commendations whatsoever, since no one else but I get to see them.

So here we go. renoekoh.blogspot.com. Don't ask me what "renoekoh" stands for. I just dreamt about this word one night. I haven't even figured out its pronounciation yet. Don't even think of trying. The pronounciation is up to me to invent. So yeah...

Oh by the way people, do give me your CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms, AND praises, only when there's the real urge to. Note that I'm putting my ego on the line here. Be gentle. It's a place for my self-improvement. And ego-inflation.
